From Learning to Local Action

Begin with listening. A useful local initiative responds to a concern expressed by the community rather than an assumption made on its behalf. Define one achievable outcome, map the people and institutions connected to it, and choose an activity appropriate to the context.

Build accessibility, safeguarding, and feedback into the plan from the beginning. After the activity, document what changed, what did not, and what participants recommend next. This creates knowledge that can improve future work without exaggerating impact.
